F3 Greenwood

Now that practice is over, it’s time for the real thing. SO, without further adieu, we present Care Bear Squared for your enjoyment. Many Greenwood PAX are probably going to think that YHC came up with this one. While bearcrawling is a favorite of YHC’s, this was the brain child of the IPC committee. By the end of this, YHC might have to rethink bearcrawling enjoyment but for now, it’s still a favorite.

Reminders

  • Submit your score at www.f3greenwood.wordpress.com. You can complete the workout as many times as you would like, but the last score submitted will be the one used in calculating your place in the standings. Also, the scoring window will stay open for the entirety of the Iron Pax Challenge but in order to be considered for the weekly competition, you must complete the workout and submit your score by midnight the Saturday following the release of the workout.
  • This is a You vs You challenge. Guys are going to be faster and stronger than you and that’s okay. All that matters is that at the end of the workout, you can say that you went as fast or as hard as you could. And if you answer yes to that question, then you completed the challenge. This is designed to push you to your limits and help your region to grow together.
  • Once again, ScarU is providing suggestions on how to modify the workout so all men can participate. There is nothing wrong with modifying the work. It’s You vs You. Keep pushing yourself. Making yourself better.

Care Bear Squared

  • Format
    • AMRAP for 45 minutes
  • Set-Up
    • Make a 25 yard square like picture below.

  • You might need to make multiple if you have a lot of guys. We recommend no more than 5 PAX per square.
  • Or start in opposite corners.

The Thang

  • Starting at cone 1 and bearcrawl to cone 2 and perform 25 air squats.
  • After the squats, bearcrawl to the left to cone 3 and perform 25 merkins.
  • After the merkins, reverse bearcrawl to cone 4 and perform 25 big boy sit-ups.
  • After the big boy situps, bearcrawl to the right to cone 1 and perform 25 burpees.

Modified Version of Care Bear Squared

  • Change the reps of the exercises to 15 or 20
  • Always front bearcrawl between the cones
  • Use other modes of transportation between cones:
  • Mosey
  • Side Shuffle
  • Carioca
  • Backpedal
  • Lunge walk
  • Normal merkin modifications
  • Modify big boy sit-ups for LBCs or other ab exercise
  • Modify burpees to flying squirrels

Scoring

  • Total reps for 45 minutes of the exercises
  • Each complete trip is 100 reps
